Alan Lewis and Mark Anderson - Nov 17, 2017

The holidays bring Handel’s Messiah complete December 8 7:30 and the Bach Magnificat December 10, 3pm  less than 2 miles apart with Alan Lewis leading the Handel and Mark Anderson the Bach. Alan  is Director of Music at Calvary Episcopal Church and Mark holds the same post at Shadyside Presbyterian Church.   Chatham Baroque have invited their extraordinary colleagues from around the country to augment the instrumental forces. Pittsburgh Camerata will transport as will the Calvary Choir. Also some good restaurant suggestions for the East End.

Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh - Nov 15, 2017

Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh Artistic Director Edward Leonard was joined by composer Nancy Galbriath to talk about their upcoming concert on November 19th, 4pm at First Unitarian Church in Pittsburgh.  The program features Brahms' epic Schicksalslied and Pittsburgh composer Nancy Galbraith’s Gloria in collaboration with Voces Solis.  Also on the program are Arthur Honegger’s Pastorale d’été and Symphony No. 22 “The Philosopher” by Haydn.
