Central Presbyterian Church in Tarentum wraps up their concert season Sunday April 29th with Warren Davidson violin, Justin Wallace, harpsichord and The Academy Baroque Ensemble to  present "Tutto Italiano!" - Baroque Music from Italy - at 7:00 P.M. Justin joins David Rankin from the church and Pastor Sara Wrona of Faith Community Partners to explain what the effort is doing for music lovers and the community.

Ted Pappas - Apr 23, 2018

Pittsburgh Public Theater Producing Artistic Director Ted Pappas steps away from his post after nearly a quarter century of artistic work in the city with a final effort directing Shakespeare’s Hamlet.  He fills us in the production at the O’ Reilly Theater and recalls some great moments from his time in Pittsburgh and his career including his work with Al Pacino.

Leslie Amper - Apr 20, 2018

Leslie Amper, who graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh studying with Natalie Phillips, played with the Pittsburgh Symphony and won the Pittsburgh Concert Society auditions and now lives in the Boston area with her husband pianist Randall Hodgkinson. She teaches at the Longy School, Harvard, and New England Conservatory Preperatory School but she’s back in town to present "Shared Inspirations: Claude Debussy, Alice Guy Blaché, and the Impressionist Painters."  The concert takes place April 22nd at the Frick Art Museum in Point Breeze at 2pm.

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Music Director Manfred Honeck joined the QED Morning Show to talk about this weekend's concerts with Steven Stucky's "Silent Spring", Brahms' Symphony No. 4 and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with soloist James Ehnes.
